Next strategy - Discipline
Personally, I find that the pleasure of food is fleeting and the pleasure of discipline is lasting. Both of these increase intensity as time goes on.
Like last night, I had no wine or beer. This morning I'm fine, the world didn't end, I didn't go into a deep depression. Now i am builing on my confidence which will make me a stronger dieter. this is called building references... which in turn means building brain muscle.
So tonight, when I crave a pint of Smithwicks, I can look back to last night and see that I am a stronger person for not having it.
Everybody has a weakness, beer and wine is mine. Some have a penchant for sweets, some soda's, the list goes on.
When a craving comes on, forecast into the future and see if it is really worth it.
"If I don't have this beer, will I be ok?"
