Have all of the bad things you want....
on your Zag days.
This is called living in moderation.
Remember when I said 70% of what I eat is good? Well I'd say 5% of the other 30% is bad.
You've gotta live.
If I was to say, "I will never have a glass of red wine for the rest of my life."
Imagine what would happen:
I would think about it daily, and it would be on my mind, and I would be struggling when I walk down the wine section of the store or passing a winery or at a dinner party. Then maybe one day I break down and have an entire bottle of wine. Then I feel guilty as I drink it and can't enjoy it, then afterwards I have the hangover for a full day and I'm saying all of the negative things to myself, "you jerk, you have no discipline, you'll never lose weight... blah blah blah..." then I'm on a downward spiral.
However, on the flipside, having the wine as a treat for being really good the rest of the week would build confidence, celebration, momentum and all of the other good things.
Bottom line, enjoy what you love...as a treat.
Oh and zig and zag is like ying and yang. Staying in balance.
