Will this put me to sleep or give me energy?

The question I ask myself while choosing a meal is "Will this give me energy and serve me, or takeaway energy?"

That one questions has caused me a reduction in countless pounds and massively increased my energy.

Another strategy I use is eat less, more often.

As you seen from my menu, I am definitely not going hungry. But I eat smaller amounts and it gives my body a chance to digest what I have eaten. Meat takes a few days to break down. Vegetables can be broken down and used quickly. So by the time I am on my next meal my body says, "Bring it on John, we just digested your previous meal and we're ready for more." Instead of eating a huge stack of pancakes and eggs for breakfast, then trying to put down a footlong sandwich and Coke down for lunch, my body would be saying, "Hey man, we haven't even digested breakfast yet, and you're shoving this down? Ok, I'm putting you to sleep, so that I can use all of your energy to degest this."

Models use this strategy of eating less, more often as well.

I also have my meals precut so that when I want them, they are ready for me. That way I don't leave the house without my snacks if i don't have time to cut and prepare them and also so I don't come home starving and just eat whatever I can put down the fastest or so i don't say, "I don't have time to cut and clean a salad, I'll just grab a $1 Big Mac instead."
