Go Green - 70% Live Raw Vegetables

My complete style of health and living came from Day 4 of Anthony Robbins Unleash the Power Within seminar. All of these ideas and strategies that I will share with you come from that seminar and the workbook that was given.

The foundation of my health and weight loss is 70% of all of the foods I intake are live, raw vegetables.

This one strategy is the main factor in my weight loss and increase of energy and nearly impeccable health.

Tony says that if you are overweight, you don't have a "fat" problem, you have an acid problem. Foods that creat acidity in the body like meats, coffee, or cigarettes cause the body to put fat cells around the acid. Imagine battery acid. If you get it on your skins or clothes, it will eat right through. Same thing with the acid in your body. Too much acidity and your body has to employ fat cells permanantly/full time. Good fats, like flaxseed oil, fish oil, Udo's oil, etc. are like "temps." They cover the fats and when they are not needed anymore, they go away.

Other things acidity does: Acid decreases the oxygen in your blood. Premature aging, eyesight and memory problems, wrinkles, age spots, etc. weakens the interior walls of the arteries. Increased potential of urinary problems and infection. Body has decreased access to energy reserves.

Personally, when I eat a meal high in meat, carbs and sugar, I get really sleepy and tired. There is another reason for this, that I will share later. Like this morning around 11am, I ate half of a delicious bbq'd burger that I made last night July 4th. That almost put me down for a nap. But I have not once gotten tired from eating too many vegetables.

Here's what I eat on a typical day:
Breakfast
Banana
Homemade Power bar

Mid-Morning
Cucumbers, Celery and Carrots and fresh hummus dip.

Lunch
Juice - Carrots, cucumber, zucchini and celery

Mid afternoon
Raw almonds and dried cranberries

Late afternoon
Chips and guacamole

Dinner
Ceasar salad and soup.

Depending on my athletic schedule, when I play soccer, I will add Pasta with Pesto or something similar for increased fuel storage. Or if my roomate makes something good, I will eat that too.
