1. Drink water before and after your meals, not during. Drinking 30 minutes in advance will fill you up. Do not drink while you eat. It's said if you need to drink during your meal, the food you eat do not have enough water content. Also, the water will dilute the active agents that break down your food and it inhibits digestion.
2. Properly combine your foods.
Principles of food combining - Eat a diet that is 70% alkaline, water rich and eat with only one concentrated food (i.e. doesn't have much water content such as meat, baked potato or fish).
Another unscientific explainaition - The agents that break down your food are different for different type of food. When you eat a protein, you body sends agent A (we'll call it). For carbs, it send out agent B. Well agent A and B neutralize eat other when sent out at the same time.
So it's recommended, thet if you have greens with either a carbohydrate or a protein, and not both.
3. Eat a comfortable amount of food -
4. Eat small amounts every three hours.
