Day 1 - 180 pounds - Ouch

So I allowed myself to indulge this 4th of July weekend and woke up 180 pounds! Yikes.

I find it important to weigh myself at the same time other day with the least amount of clothing on (i won't expand on that:).

I weigh myself in the morning as soon as I get up. This way I get a consistent result. Because a glass of water or tea, banana, ham sandwich, anything I consume will add weight and change what I weigh.

A person doesn't realize it, but shoes, pants, wallet, watch, etc. can add 3-6 pounds to your weight! That's a confidence killer. As Charles Barkley once said, "You know my wallets heavy."Again, to keep things consistent, go bare.

Use the same scale everytime. The worst things I ever do for myself is hop on someone elses scale. The weight always comes out higher and doesn't do well for the self esteem.

Xtine, I do plan on it someday, but am reluctant to get Tom's chest hair jokes. Jokes like, "You could win a Tom Selek look a like contest if you had a mustache."
